Sinawe (Korean: 시나위) is a heavy metal rock music band in South Korea. They were the first band which played metal in South Korea. During its golden age in the late 1980s and early 1990s, many renowned musicians in South Korea such as Seo Tai-ji, Kim Jong-seo, and Yim Jae-bum improved their musical ability. Sinawe was formed by Shin Dae-cheol, the son of Shin Jung-hyeon. In 1996, five years after the group's breakup in 1991, Shin Dae-cheol reformed Sinawe with new members.[1][2][3][4]
