Sharyl Attkisson (born in Sarasota, Florida) is an investigative correspondent in the Washington bureau for CBS News. She has also substituted as anchor for the CBS Evening News. Previously at CBS, she has hosted the television series HealthWeek in 1997, and CBS News Up to the Minute in 1992. From 1988 to 1991, she was a reporter for CNN. In 2002 she won an Emmy Award for her Investigative Journalism about the American Red Cross.[1] [edit] EducationAttkisson graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in broadcast journalism in 1982.
