Shannon Watt (born 26 November 1980) is an Australian Rules footballer for the North Melbourne Football Club. Drafted at number 14 in the 1997 National AFL Draft, Watt is a key defender. He played as a fullback until Jonathan Hay came to the club in 2006 who unsuccessfully filled the role of centre half-back. Watt is currently ranked fifth overall in the unwanted statistic of most games played without a Brownlow vote. As of 2008, Watt has played 127 AFL games without polling a single vote in the Brownlow Medal. He announced his retirement from the game on the 20th August 2009. [edit] External links
