Shaheen Sardar Ali is a Professor of Law, and has served as Former Chair of the National Commission on the Status of Women of Pakistan. She is the author of the book Gender and Human Rights in Islam and International Law: Equal Before Allah, Unequal Before Man?. She is also currently a professor at the University of Warwick in the Law faculty and teaches Islamic Law.
