Sex Style was the first album released by Keith Thornton under the moniker Kool Keith. In the style he dubbed "pornocore," the album abounds with sexually-explicit hip hop and pornographic samples. All tracks were produced by KutMasta Kurt except for "Make Up Your Mind," "The Mack Is Back," and "In Your Face," which were produced by T.R. Love. Dan the Automator recorded and mixed Sex Style at The Glue Factory in San Francisco, California. Tom Baker mastered the album at Future Disc Systems. The album's cover shows Keith with model Spantaneeus Xtasty. The CD version includes the video for "Plastic World."
