Seventeen Again is a romantic-family dramedy film. It was released by Showtime on November 12, 2000, and on DVD on April 9, 2002. The film was rated PG when it was released on DVD for brief language. It was filmed on location in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Nevermind the picture, Seventeen Again is a hilarious comedy starring Zac Effron. It is about Mike O'Donnell, star basketball player of his high school, who dates the love of his life. Then, right before the big game, his girlfriend tells her she's pregnant and he throws away his basketball career to marry her. Then, he didn't stop complaining about what he threw away after he lost his job and his wife files a divorce. He then wishes he could be seventeen again and he does, but everyone else isn't. He's in the same grade as his daughter and when his daughter falls in love with him and when he tries to kiss his wife, everything is awkward. He helps his daughter escape the clutches of a slut/bully, Stan, who eventually dumps her because she wouldn't have sex with her. Meanwhile, Mike's best friend, Ned, pretends to be his father and has his own hilarious love story. In the end, there is what seems to be a replay of the controversial basketball game and Mike realizes that it is not basketball he wished he had fixed. He does the same thing that he did in the last game and the divorce was cancelled.
