The Serbian Davis Cup team represents Serbia in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Serbia Tennis Federation. Serbia qualified for the 2008 World Group, and thus played in the 2009 World Group. After losing to Spain 4-1 in the 2009 first round, Serbians defeated Uzbekistan 5-0 to stay in World Group. USA will play against Serbia in 2010 World Group first round tie.
[edit] Team for 2009 World Group Play-off[edit] HistorySerbia competed in its first Davis Cup as an independent nation in 2007. Within Yugoslavian Davis Cup team they reached the semifinals of the World Group in 1988, 1989, and 1991. They competed as Serbia and Montenegro from 2004-2006. [edit] See also[edit] External links
