Seawolf Park 29°20′03″N 94°46′45″W / 29.33417°N 94.77917°W / 29.33417; -94.77917 is located on Pelican Island, just north of Galveston, Texas.
Seawolf Park is a memorial to Seawolf (SS-197), a Sargo-class submarine, lost during World War II, sunk by friendly fire, in 1944.
Seawolf Park is the home of the Gato-class submarine, Cavalla (SS-244) and the Edsall-class destroyer escort Stewart (DE-238) .
Also preserved at the park is the sail of the Sturgeon-class submarine Tautog (SSN-639).
Also preserved at the park is the conning tower of the Balao-class submarine Carp (SS-338).
Northwest of the fishing pier, the remains of the World War I Tanker S.S. Selma Concrete ship can be seen.29°20′40″N 94°47′10″W / 29.34444°N 94.78611°W / 29.34444; -94.78611
Seawolf park is unique in that it has a Submarine, an ASW destroyer escort, and the remains of a merchant ship; the hunter, the protector, and the protectee, all in one museum area.
At one point in time, the museum also has an M113 APC on display.
There is a picnic area and fishing is allowed on the well-maintained pier for a small fee. There is also pedestrian access to the shoreline on either side of the park where you can fish for free. Some of the species of fish that can be caught include Sand Trout, Speckled Trout, Gafftopsail, Drum, and Flounder among others.
