• Scottish independence - the advocacy of Scotland becoming a sovereign state
  • The Scottish National Party - the main political party which supports Scottish independence
• Scottish home rule - a movement, particularly notable before the creation of the devolved Scottish Parliament in 1999, to give Scotland greater autonomy within the United Kingdom or the British Empire.
