Scott Michael Barnes (born September 5, 1987 in Springfield, Massachusetts), is an American professional baseball player. A pitcher, Barnes plays in the Cleveland Indians organization of Major League Baseball after being traded from the San Francisco Giants for Ryan Garko^[1] . Barnes has yet to make his MLB debut.

Barnes attended Cathedral High School (Springfield, Massachusetts) and St. John's University (New York) before being drafted by the San Francisco Giants.

In 2009, Barnes helped the Akron Aeros win the 2009 Eastern League Championship Series.
