Sandra Wasserman (born 10 March 1970) is a former professional Belgian tennis player from Antwerp. She is most famous for being the youngest Belgian Fed Cup player.
[edit] Fed CupWasserman became Belgium's youngest Fed Cup player when she lost 6-3 7-6 (9-7) to Csilla Bartos of Hungary in October 1985 in Japan.[1] She also lost the longest tie-break played by the Belgian Fed Cup team, losing 13-11 to Jennifer Capriati of the United States in 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia after losing the first set 6-0. [edit] ResultsWasserman won her only doubles title at Barcelona, Spain on 25 April 1988, partnering Iva Budařová and beating Anna-Karin Olsson and Maria Jose Llorca 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the final. She reached the finals of the singles of the Clarins Open in its first two years, 1998, when she lost 7-5, 6-1 to Sabrina Goleš, and 1989, when she lost 7-6 (7-0), 6-2 to Petra Langrová.
