Samsung Lions Baseball Club (Hangul: 삼성 라이온즈 야구 클럽)[5] is a Korean professional baseball team founded in 1982. They are based in Daegu and are members of the Korean Baseball Organization. Their home stadium is Daegu Baseball Stadium. Julio Franco of the Atlanta Braves once was a member of this team. They have won the Korean Series four times.[6]

The first retired number in the Samsung Lions organization was number 22, in memory of the legendary catcher and slugger, Lee Man Soo, who is currently a coach with the SK Wyverns. The second retired number in the Samsung Lions organization is number 36, in memory of the legendary batter Lee Seung-Yeop, who is playing for Yomiuri Giants.
