Sammy Snyders as Tom Sawyer in Huckleberry Finn and His Friends (1979)

Sam Snyders (also known as Sammy Snyders), born in Toronto, Ontario is a Canadian television and film child actor.

He is best known for his role as Tom Sawyer in Huckleberry Finn and His Friends (1979) (with Ian Tracey) and the horror film The Pit (1981), where he played an autistic boy.

Sam Snyders also produced specials for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and performed on stage in A Chorus Line and Oliver Twist.

Currently he is a dance teacher and telecommunications technician with Bell Technical Solutions in Toronto. He is also the president of union local 1996 of the C.E.P.( Communication, Energy, and Paper workers). He was elected to that position in November of 2006 and continues to serve in that capacity since.
