Major General Salah Aboud Mahmoud is an Iraqi former officer. He was a military commander in the army during Saddam Hussein's reign. On January 29, 1991, he was involved in battle with coalition forces to take control of the Saudi Arabian city of Khafji. Also, Salah Mahmoud took part in the Iran-Iraq War of 1980-88.
