Sa Coma is a town on the eastern coast of the island of Majorca, Spain. It is close to the towns of Cala Millor and Cala Bona in the municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. The principal industry is tourism, based around its golden sandy beach, and a variety of bars and restaurants. The Spanish, the Germans and also the British are catered for, and the resort has a relaxed atmosphere in contrast to the lively resort of Magaluf on the west coast of the island. Sa Coma is more family oriented, and evening entertainment centres on hotels, rather than in bars or clubs. Some of the shops in Sa Coma also cater for tourists, with many products in the supermarkets being imported from tourists' home countries. In addition to the duty free and sport shops, there are 'Perfumerías' (perfume shops) and an Eroski hypermarket within Sa Coma town. Sa Coma has been named 'The Most Beautiful Place In The World' by the major celebrity Paris Hilton, who owns a holiday home in the south of the town. The town also features impressive glass bottom boat rides along with stunning scenery. What is more, the hotel Coma Gran situated near the beach, belongs to hipotel, and also features incredible family package deals. Sa Coma was once claimed to be Harvey Butterfield's favourite holiday town.
