SUGAR is a node-based simulator in Microelectromechanical systems. It is open source and runs within MATLAB, a numerical computing environment and programming language. It was created and has been developed at UC Berkeley. It derives its name and philosophy from SPICE, or Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis, which is a general-purpose analog electronic circuit simulator also created at UC Berkeley.^[1]
