Robert Warnock (born 19 January 1987) is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League

He was recruited as the number 42 draft pick in the 2005 AFL Draft from the Sandringham Dragons. Warnock played the entire 2006 season with West Perth in the WAFL as a ruckman. He made his AFL debut for the Fremantle Dockers in Rd 6 2007 against the Brisbane Lions.

At a height of 206 cm he was regarded as one Fremantle's key future prospects, averaging 10 ruck hit outs per game in his first season and being awarded the Beacon Award for the best new talent at the 2007 Doig Medal awards night.[1] However in 2008 Warnock struggled to break into the side, playing only two of the first ten games as Fremantle preferred to select Daniel Gilmore, Michael Johnson or Kepler Bradley ahead of Warnock as Aaron Sandilands' ruck partner.[2] This lead to media speculation that he would return to Melbourne at the end of the season.[3] At the end of the season Warnock announced his intentions to continue his football career back in Melbourne, citing family reasons.[4]

On the final day of trade week 2008, Warnock was traded to the Carlton Football Club, his preferred destination. The deal included Fremantle's pick No. 69, in exchange for Carlton's picks 24, 56 and 72.[5]

Warnock was struck down by stress fractures in his foot during his first pre-season with Carlton, and missed the majority of the season. He eventually played a handful of games with Carlton's VFL-affiliate, the Northern Bullants, late in the season, but did not make his debut for the Blues.
