Frederick "Rick" Steven Auerbach (born February 15, 1950 in Woodland Hills, California) was a shortstop in Major League Baseball. He played from 1971-1981 with the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, and Seattle Mariners. A product of the Taft High School class of 1968,[1] he was originally drafted by the California Angels in the 13th round of the 1968 amateur draft, but did not sign with the team.[2] He was drafted the next year in the secondary phase of the 1969 amateur draft by the expansion Seattle Pilots.[2]
