Richard Owen born 25 November 1991 in Pontefract, Yorkshire, England is a rugby league player for the Castleford Tigers in the European Super League, he also played for Oulton Raiders in his youth.

Richard's position of choice is on the wing.

Richard had a very good super league debut for Castleford in 2008 scoring 13 tries in 24 games. He was moved to the wing and formed a good partnership with Michael Shenton towards the back end of the year.

Richard has played mainly at full back for Cas in 2009 where he has shown some excellent form. There are rumours 2010 will be his last year at the tigers.
