Richard Lounder (born 20 January 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played 4 games for the Richmond Football Club in the Victorian Football League, kicking 5 goals.

Lounder was a big framed ruckman who had much hype being taken at number one of the 1987 National Draft. He made his debut on round 5 of the 1989 VFL season kicking 4 goals against the Kangaroos, this would be his career highlight. His next 3 games and was not impressive at all and did not play the rest of the season. He never played again. He has been called the least successful number one draft pick in VFL/AFL history.
