Revenge (1967) is the sixth album by comedian Bill Cosby. It was recorded live at Harrah's, Lake Tahoe, Nevada by Warner Bros. Records.
[edit] BackgroundUnlike earlier albums such as I Started Out as a Child, which contained skits around TV shows such as the Lone Ranger, this album sees Cosby discuss his upbringing through anecdotes and introduce perhaps his most memorable character outside of Cliff Huxtable—Fat Albert. While later albums included this character, many fans[who?] regard this as his finest album and an influence on future comedy albums based on the anecdotal style. In the track "Buck Buck," Cosby first mentions Fat Albert, his Philadelphia childhood friend who was the basis for the hit cartoon series Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. Old Weird Harold, another of Cosby's friends/characters, is also featured on this album, primarily on the track "9th Street Bridge." [edit] Track listing[edit] Side one
