Remote Sensing Systems (RSS) is a private research company founded in 1974. It processes microwave data from a variety of NASA satellites. Most of their work is supported by their research is supported by the Earth Science Enterprise program.

They are a widely cited source of data used to confirm global warming. Prior to 2003, the lower tropospheric temperatures derived by Christy and Spencer showed no trends. Research by Mears and Wentz contributed a significant step towards reconciling differences between computer models and satellite observations of temperature.^[1]
