He pitched for the Class A Short Season Hudson Valley Renegades in 1994, putting together a respectable 5-5 record with a 2.89 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 84 innings. Along with his father, his brother (Reese), and former Houston Astros part-owner Don Sanders, he is the CEO and President of Ryan-Sanders Baseball, Inc., a group which owns the Class AAA Round Rock Express and Class AA Corpus Christi Hooks. The group is considering purchasing a future Class AA team which would play in Richmond, Virginia.[1]
