The 2005 Recopa Sudamericana was the 13^th match-up between the champions of the previous season's Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. The 2005 edition was contested between the 2004 Copa Libertadores champion Colombian side Once Caldas and the 2004 Copa Sudamericana champion Argentine side Boca Juniors.

Boca Juniors won their second Recopa title with a better goal difference than Once Caldas (+1 to -1). The title gives Boca their 14^th international titles, one short of Independiente's record (which has since been passed).
