Ratko Svilar (born May 6, 1950 in Crvenka) is a former Serbian footballer, who played as a goalkeeper. Having played for Royal Antwerp FC for nearly 20 years, he is the Belgian Second Division club's current coach. [edit] Football careerSvilar joined Royal Antwerp FC in November 1980 from FK Vojvodina, and proceeded to endure a 16-year spell with the Belgian outfit, alternating between the posts and the bench, as he totalled 249 league matches (both top divisions combined). He retired from professional play aged 46, going on to have several coaching spells with his last and most important club. On the international level, Svilar played for Yugoslavia (nine matches), and was a participant at the 1982 FIFA World Cup. [edit] External links
