Rajasthani films are films in Rajasthani, mainly watched by people from Rajasthan and other parts of India, where Rajasthani settled for livelihood.

First Rajasthani movie "Nazrana" was produced in June 1942, while first genuine Rajasthani film was released in 1961 was "Babasa Ri Ladli" produced by B. K. Adarsh. The latest, 100th Rajasthani film "Odh Li Chunaria" has been produced in the year 2008. There are very less movies in Rajasthani language. During nine years, from 1987 to 1995, 42 Rajasthani films were produced, with an average of 4.7 films per year. But during last eight years from 1996 to 2003, only 17 films were produced, average per year declining to 2.1. Rajasthani film producers encounter difficulties in releasing their films after completing them, apart from lack of finance.^[1]

Some of the producers in Rajasthani Cinema are Bharat Nahata, Bhanu Prakash Rathi, and Ajai Chowdhary, while directors are Mohan Singh Rathor, Bhanu Prakash Rathi. Actress Neelu has been turned as Producer and director with the movie titled "O Jee Re Deewana ... ".

To encourage the Rajsathani movies in Rajasthan total tax holiday for cinemas in towns and cities having less than one lakh of population, had been announced in 2008 budget of Rajasthan Government and Entertainment Tax from had been slashed to 30 percent from 100 percent in 10 years from 1999 to 2008.^[2]
