Racing Club de France is a football club based in the north-west suburb of Paris. The team generally competes in the Championnat de France Amateurs, which is the fourth tier of the French football league system.

The club is a historic team of French football, with a complicated history. Its halcyon days were in the 1930s and 40s, when it won the Division 1 in 1936, and the Coupe de France in 1936, 1939, 1940, 1945 and 1949. The club was also successful at the beginning of the 1960s, finishing twice runner-up of Division 1 in 1961 and 1962. They then involved in a financial crisis that engulfed the French game in the mid 1960s and went bust, dropping down the divisions in the process.

Between 1930 and 1962, the club hosted each November the London team Arsenal F.C. for a game of prestige.

The club was bought in the 1980s by French businessman Jean-Luc Lagardère who wanted to build a team of stars but it was a failure. Since Lagardère departure, the club tries to regain its fame, playing at an amateur level.

Since its relegation to the amateur levels, Racing is still seeking financial resources to develop the club. In December 2008, Georgios Kintis sought to buy the club, but failed to reach an agreement.^[1]

For the season 2009-2010, The club has got an financial agreement with the city of Levallois (west of Paris), thus the name has became Racing Club de France - Levallois 92.^[2]
