Line E runs from Haussmann - St-Lazare via Magenta (serving Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord) to the north-eastern suburbs. It was originally referred to as the EOLE, or Est Ouest Ligne Express. The line's construction leaves Gare Montparnasse as the only mainline terminus in Paris not directly connected to the RER system, the Montparnasse main line being connected to the RER at Versailles-Chantiers and the LGV Atlantique at Massy Palaiseau . [edit] Chronology [edit] Extension RER E is to be extended from Haussmann - St-Lazare to La Défense, from where it will take over the branch of RER A to Nanterre, Sartrouville and Poissy. It would then take over a section of SNCF tracks to reach Mantes-la-Jolie. Public consultation is scheduled for 2010; construction would take place between 2012 and 2018.[1] [edit] List of RER E stations | Branch | Station | Zone | Served municipalities | Connections | | E1 | Haussmann - Saint-Lazare | 1 | Paris | Transilien Saint-Lazare ; métro 3,12,13,14 ; Grandes lignes SNCF ; bus RATP 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 43, 53, 66, 80, 81, 94, 95 | | Magenta | 1 | Paris | Transilien Nord ; RER B, D ; métro 2,4,5 ; bus RATP 26, 38, 42, 43, 48, 65, 302, 350 ; Grandes lignes SNCF ; Ter SNCF ; Eurostar ; Thalys ; TGV | | Pantin | 2 | Pantin | bus RATP 170 | | Noisy-le-Sec | 3 | Noisy-le-Sec | tram T1 ; bus RATP 105 | | E2 | Bondy | 3 | Bondy | bus RATP ; TRA ; Transilien | | Le Raincy – Villemomble – Montfermeil | 4 | Villemomble, Le Raincy, Montfermeil par TRA | bus RATP 114 ; TRA 601, 602, 603, 605 | | Gagny | 4 | Gagny | bus RATP 121, 221, 303 ; TRA 604, 623 | | Le Chénay – Gagny | 4 | Gagny | bus TRA 642, 701 | | Chelles – Gournay | 4 | Chelles | Transilien Est ; bus RATP 113, 213, 313 ; TRA 613, 642c scolaire ; TVS 54.10 ; 13, 19 ; APOLO A, B, C, E | | E4 | Rosny – Bois-Perrier | 3 | Rosny-sous-Bois | bus RATP | | Rosny-sous-Bois | 3 | Rosny-sous-Bois | bus RATP and Titus 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 | | Val de Fontenay | 3 | Fontenay-sous-Bois | RER A ; bus RATP 116, 118, 120 ; Titus 5 ; TRA 702 | | Nogent – Le Perreux | 3 | Nogent-sur-Marne, Le Perreux-sur-Marne | bus RATP 114, 116, 120, 210, 317 | | Les Boullereaux – Champigny | 3 | Champigny-sur-Marne | | | Villiers-sur-Marne – Le Plessis-Trévise | 4 | Villiers-sur-Marne, Le Plessis-Trévise | | | Les Yvris – Noisy-le-Grand | 4 | Noisy-le-Grand | | | Émerainville – Pontault-Combault | 4 | Émerainville, Pontault-Combault | | | Roissy-en-Brie | 5 | Roissy-en-Brie | | | Ozoir-la-Ferrière | 5 | Ozoir-la-Ferrière | bus Cars Biziere | | Gretz - Armainvilliers | 5 | Gretz-Armainvilliers | bus Darche-Gros 30 | | Tournan | 5 | Tournan-en-Brie | Transilien Est ; bus Darche-Gros 30 | Geographically accurate path of the RER E [edit] See also [edit] References [edit] External links |
