Queen Angella is a fictional character in the animated television series She-Ra: Princess of Power. Angella, the Queen of Bright Moon, possesses a pair of wings which allow her to fly. Her daughter is Glimmer, Princess of Bright Moon.

Castle Bright Moon

Several years before the Horde's occupation of Etheria, Micah and Angella, King and Queen of Bright Moon ruled over the the peaceful kingdom. The royal couple had only one child, a daughter they named Glimmer. However the peace ended upon the Horde's arrival. Micah left his wife and daughter so that he could lead his kingdom's forces in repelling the Horde, he failed. The Horde captured Bright Moon, when Angella went missing during a battle. In Angella's absence Glimmer forms a Rebellion, hoping one day to see her parents again and rid Bright Moon of The Horde. It is only years later, after the arrival of She-Ra and He-Man that the rebellion learned of Angella fate and location. The twin heroes travelled to rescue the queen from Hunga the Harpy, who was keeping the queen captive and dampening her magic with a collar designed to deny her access to her magic. Immediately upon her rescue she was reunited with her daughter.

Adam and Adora leave for Eternia and Angella aids Glimmer in leading the rebellion. Upon Adora's return she discovers that Angella and the rebels plan to retake Bright Moon. With the aid of He-Man and She-Ra the rebellion liberate the kingdom and Angella is restored to the throne. Some time later Angella is reunited with her husband. It appears that although Angella has magical abilities, Micah is a mortal.

Queen Angella

Angella was bestowed with the Moonstone, a gift from her ancestors, to power Castle Bright Moon. It appears that this may be the source of her powers. Unlike Glimmer, Angella's powers seem to decrease over time away from Bright Moon. Her powers also seem to be affected by the position of Etheria's moons, as she is severely weakened during a lunar eclipse, followed by a magical attack induced by Shadow Weaver, but once it ends, she is instantly restored to full strength. Despite this disadvantage, aside from She-Ra she is regarded as the most powerful of the Rebel leaders. When at her full strength, she alone is more than a match for the entire Horde. Angella has, like her daughter, the ability to fly and fire photonic energy from her hands, which can stun or disable her opponents as well as blinding light. She is capable of erecting nearly impenetrable force fields. By bathing herself in her own light, she can instantly heal any injuries she has sustained and even regenerate torn clothing or armor. An ability unique to Angella is the power to temporarily open portals to other worlds, which indicates that her power is superior to that of her daughter. Angella has also demonstrated various magical skills as well; such as the ability to counteract powerful spells, draw mystical energy from other beings to utilize for her own purposes, etc. She appears far more skilled and experienced in the use of mystic forces than does her daughter.
