Pseudomonas citronellolis is a Gram-negative bacterium that is used to study the mechanisms of pyruvate carboxylase^[1]. It was first isolated from forest soil, under pine trees, in northern Virginia^[2]. Based on 16S rRNA analysis, P. citronellolis has been placed in the P. aeruginosa group^[3].
