The Privilege in Ibiza

Privilege Ibiza is the world's largest nightclub with a capacity of 10,000 persons. It is not situated far from San Rafael, Ibiza, less than a kilometre apart from the nightclub Amnesia. Privilege nightclub used to host Manumission, probably one of the island's most famous events for 14 years. After a dispute between the club owner and Manumission's organisers, the event moved to Amnesia. Originally called Ku, Privilege nightclub was a restaurant in the 1970's. The main room has an aircraft-hangar size with a 25-meter high roof and a swimming pool^{[citation needed]}. It is officially recognized as the largest club in the world by The Guinness Book of Records .

The building was where the video to "Barcelona" by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe was filmed in 1987.

In 2008, DJ Tiësto announced that he will be the resident at Privilege, stating he'll play in Ibiza every Monday, starting the 7th of July until the 22nd of September. The gigs consist of four hour sets in the style of his In Search of Sunrise with the opening night featuring a six hour set with no support. Tiësto returned in 2009 for the residency.
