Polychloro phenoxy phenols (polychlorinated phenoxy phenols, PCPPs) are a group of organic polyhalogenated compounds. Among them include triclosan and predioxin, the former which can have trace amounts of dioxins and furans,[1] and the latter which degrades to produce dioxins. Notably, however, the particular dioxin formed by aqueous photolysis of triclosan was found in 2003 by Arnold and McNeill to be non-toxic.
