Pierre Boya (born January 16, 1984 in Douala) is a Cameroonian footballer.

[edit] Career

He currently plays for France's Grenoble Foot 38 where he arrived in January 2009. Before coming to France, he played for Partizan Belgrade, the highlight of his career in Serbia-Montenegro coming in the December 2004 UEFA Cup draw (2-2) away at S.S. Lazio when he scored both Partizan goals. Unfortunately, for a year-and-a-half afterwards he was unable to find the back of the net. He finally ended his goalscoring drought on April 8, 2006, scoring a brace during the league match versus FK Voždovac.

In the meantime he also recorded another dubious achievement in the crucial Champions League qualifier versus Artmedia Bratislava. After missing several clear cut chances through the two matches, he failed to convert a crucial penalty in the shootout that would have qualified Partizan for the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League[1].

In the summer of 2007 Boya was transferred to Rapid Bucureşti. Although he had a mediocre season, he was considered Rapid's main striker after the departure of Mugurel Buga, Ionut Mazilu and Lucian Burdujan. In the 2008-09 winter break, Boya was sold to Grenoble Foot 38, mostly due to the fact that Rapid had financial problems. Boya had a weak first half of the season, scoring one goal in 17 matches for Rapid, so he agreed to leave Romania for France[2].
