Per-Mathias Høgmo (born 1 December 1959) is a football manager from Norway and former player.[1][2] He is currently the manager at Norwegian Premier League team Tromsø IL.[3] He was the manager of Rosenborg BK between August 2005, when he replaced Per Joar Hansen after a disappointing first half of the season, and October 2006, when he with immediate effect resigned from his position as manager, and said he would withdraw from football altogether, to pursue a new career.[citation needed] Before taking the manager role for Rosenborg, he worked as a commentator for NRK's football coverage called "4-4-2".[citation needed] He had success with the women's national football team, leading them to a 4th place in the World Cup of 1999, and a gold medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.[citation needed] With Tromsø IL, who he joined in 2004, he took the team to 4th place in Tippeligaen, and qualified them for Royal League.[citation needed]
