Pemphigus foliaceus is an autoimmune blistering disease of the skin and mucous membranes with characteristic lesions that are scaly, crusted erosions, often on an erythematous base.^[1] Patients with pemphigus foliaceus develop scaly, crusted cutaneous erosions, often on an erythematous base, but they do not have clinically apparent mucosal involvement even with widespread disease.^[2]^:423
