Pamela Paul is an American journalist and the author of three books, The Starter Marriage and the Future of Matrimony (2002), Pornified: How Pornography Is Transforming Our Lives, Our Relationships and our Families (2005), and "Parenting, Inc.: How We Are Sold on $800 Strollers, Fetal Education, Baby Sign Language, Sleeping Coaches, Toddler Couture, and Diaper Wipe Warmers -- And What It Means for Our Children" (2008).

She is a contributor to Time Magazine, regularly writes for the New York Times Book Review, worked as senior editor at the erstwhile American Demographics magazine, is a former contributor to The Economist, and has written for many other publications.

After the publication of Pornified, she testified on the subject of pornography before the Senate Judiciary Committee.^[1] She has appeared on many television and radio shows in the U.S., Canada, and in the UK, speaking about social trends.
