PKO Bank Polski, Spółka Akcyjna (PKO BP S.A.) is Poland's largest bank. Although floated on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, as of July 2009 the state still holds 51.24% of shares.[1]

The privatized remnant of Poland's state bank, PKO BP is today one of the largest companies in Poland and on the Forbes Global 2000 list. PKO stands for Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności which roughly means General Savings Bank and BP stands for Bank of Poland, but currently only the acronym is used.

Because of its size and position as one of the first banks, PKO is still one of the best recognized brands in Poland. Today PKO employs over 37,000 people and has a revenue of over 2 billion US dollars. In recent years the bank has invested outside Poland, notably the acquisition of Kredyt Bank Ukraina (Ukraine). The company is headquartered in central Warsaw.

PKO BP has a virtual bank division named iPKO.
