Pêro Vaz de Caminha (c.1450 - December 15, 1500; Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈpeɾu ˈvaʃ dɨ kɐˈmiɲɐ]; also spelled Pedro Vaz de Caminha), was a Portuguese explorer that accompanied Pedro Álvares Cabral in the European discovery of Brazil, being one of the captains of the fleet. Caminha wrote what is considered by many to be one of the most accurate and detailed accounts of the discovery of Brazil in his Carta de Pêro Vaz de Caminha.

Pêro Vaz de Caminha was secretary to the Portuguese admiral Pedro Álvares Cabral. He submitted his writings on discovery of Brazil to the king of Portugal.
