Online clothing swaps allow individuals the opportunity to refresh their wardrobe by exchanging their clothes for another person's clothes via the internet and mail. These websites create an online atmosphere which closely resembles that of the more familiar clothing swap parties held in major metropolitan areas. While many people prefer going to physical clothing swap parties in order to try on the clothing they want to take home and to socialize with their peers, others believe there are some advantages to swapping clothes online. Online clothing swaps generally offer a much larger inventory than physical clothing swaps, they are not restricted to a single event held on a specific day in only one city, and they provide a much faster method to search for the clothing that is truly of interest to the individual. While the online clothing swap industry is still in its infancy, popularity among persons shopping online continues to grow.
