Oleh is the headquarters of the Isoko South Local Government Area, one of the two administrative units in the Isoko region of Delta State, southern Nigeria.

As the administrative center for the local government, it houses the council offices.

The main economic activity is food crop farming accompanied by some hunting. And the staple food crops include cassava and yams. Women form a large proportion of the farming population. They also engage in trade of food crops for cash to meet other basic household needs. On market days, Oleh women can be seen peddling their assorted wares in the town markets. Cassava is the source of most of the foods consumed by the people. Garri, starch meal (Ozi), Egu are cassava derivatives.

Oleh has several primary, secondary and post-secondary schools.

Although the predominant religion in Oleh is Christianity, many natives still practice pagan worship. This is evident in the many ancestral shrines that still dot the Oleh landscape. A critical appraisal of the belief system of the average Oleh citizen will reveal a combination of both Christian practices and traditional leanings.

The Town is under the headship of a Monarch-His Majesty King A.W.O. Ovrawah(J.P.,FCAI) who is also the traditional ruler/ custodian of the people's custom and tradition.The Monarch is the most influential in Isokoland as he is widely consulted on varying issues affecting Delta State and also on National issues.Every serving Governor of the state holds him in high esteem as he is a highly reverred Monarch in the State.He is also a member of the state council of traditional rulers,he is a first class Monarch.
