Old Bexley and Sidcup is a UK parliamentary constituency situated wholly within the London Borough of Bexley. The seat's MP since the 2001 general election is Derek Conway, elected as a Conservative Party candidate. His predecessor was Sir Edward Heath, who had held the seat and its predecessors since 1950 and was prime minister of the United Kingdom from 1970 to 1974, and who announced his retirement at the end of the 1997-2001 parliament.

However on 29 January 2008 the Conservative Party withdrew Derek Conway's whip following alleged misuse of funds, and he is now an Independent MP.
