OOAK stands for "one of a kind," which is an acronym that is widely used on the Internet by artists who make original items such as jewelry, artist dolls, fashion dolls, reborn baby dolls, weapons, sculptures, and clothing. Repaints are also considered OOAK dolls, as their original face paint is removed by the artist, who then paints the doll in a realistic, fantasy, or celebrity facial style ensuring that they are truly one of a kind dolls. Common manufactured dolls used for repaints include:
ACEO (which stands for Art Cards, Editions, and Originals) works and ATC (which stands for Artists Trading Card) are also considered OOAK artwork as long as no prints are created, or if they are created, are hand embellished, or in some way altered so that it is not like any other print.
