Nutley High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school in the Township of Nutley, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Nutley Public Schools. Its colors are maroon and gray. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The school is located at 300 Franklin Avenue in Nutley, NJ 07110. All students pursue an appropriate academic program to prepare for post-secondary education or for employment. As of the 2006-07 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,369 students and 88.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15:5.[1] The school was the 141st-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 316 schools statewide, in New Jersey Monthly magazine's September 2008 cover story on the state's Top Public High Schools. The school was ranked 129th in the magazine's September 2006 issue, which surveyed 316 schools across the state. Nutley High School had only dropped 12 ranks over those two years.[2] According to the "Sino Monthly New Jersey" for SAT scores, Nutley High School is ranked #150 out of all the public schools in New Jersey with a 1486 new SAT average. That still is, however, below the state public school average of 1489.
