Nina's Hair Parlour is the first and only UK specialist vintage and retro hair salon^[1][2] based in North London, UK. The Parlour continues the tradition of hair parlours from the past, providing 50's up do's, Marcel Waves, Kiss Curls and Pompadours. The Parlour was founded by Nina Butkovich-Budden, a Croatian national who has lived in London since 1993.^[1] The other staff within the Parlour include Leila Mauro, a Belgian national who specialises in up do's and Jayne Mansfield curls and Mark McCarthy a barber specialising in rockabilly cuts for boys. Issidora works alongside the Parlour in her Boudoir providing vintage and retro make up to compliment the styling in the Parlour.

Nina's Hair Parlour started inside a small salon, Cut and Clipper, on The Cut, Waterloo. The Parlour's founder, Nina Butkovich-Budden soon derived some interest from the press^[3] and found she had outgrown the small space in South London leading to the move to Alfie's Antiques Market in Marylebone.

Nina's Hair Parlour re-opened in June 2008 in its new location with a 50's styled salon featuring original chair mounted hairdryers. The Parlour uses a variety of techniques to create their hairstyles and have a selection of original metal marcel waving clips.

Nina Butkovich-Budden began cutting and styling with vintage and retro ideas in mind for her friends before founding Nina's Hair Parlour. She covers a wide range of styles from the Belle Epoch to the Swinging 60s. She dabbles extensively in the Avant Gardé and the theatrical nature of style as shown in her hair styling and millinery skills.

Nina has acted as a period style consultant for The Young Vic Theatre in Waterloo and created styles for the Ray Davies musical Come Dancing for the Theatre Royal in London.^[4] She has worked with a range of photographers and stylists both for print photography and international fashion shows including the Life Ball 2008 in Vienna where she worked with stylist Danilo.^{[citation needed]} She helped create styles for the dancers in The Kylie Minogue Show, Kylie Minogue's relaunch on English TV Channel, ITV in 2008.^{[citation needed]}

Nina has appeared on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour^[5] talking about the Beehive and on segments in The Richard and Judy Show, ITVs This Morning and various news programmes.^{[citation needed]} Nina also appeared, with her team, on the series Celebrity Scissorhands 3 on the BBC, run to raise money for the charity Children In Need.
