Nikolai Morozov (born December 17, 1975 in Moscow[1], Russian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Russian[2] former competitive ice dancer, who works as a coach and a choreographer.[3] He is the ex-husband of Canadian ice dancer Shae Lynn Bourne.[4]
[edit] Competitive biography
Morozov originally competed with Olga Pershankova for Azerbaijan. They placed 21st at the 1994 World Figure Skating Championships.[5] Morozov then teamed up with Tatiana Navka. They competed for Belarus[6] at the World Figure Skating Championships and the 1998 Winter Olympics, where they placed sixteenth.[7] Navka and Morozov were coached by Alexander Zhulin.[8] When the two split up, Morozov tried skating with another woman for three months, but retired soon after.[9]

After his retirement, Morozov became a coaching assistant for Tatiana Tarasova. He later left Tarasova and began coaching and choreographing on his own.

He coached Bourne & Kraatz to Canada's first Worlds gold medal in ice dancing, Grushina & Goncharov to an Olympic bronze medal, Arakawa to an Olympic gold medal, and Ando to a World title.
