Nicholas Roger "Nick" Swardson (born October 9, 1976) is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and writer. He is best known for his recurring role of Terry Bernardino in the now canceled Comedy Central series Reno 911!, and for his work in Happy Madison movies.
[edit] Life and careerSwardson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Pamela and Roger Swardson. Before he started working closely with Adam Sandler and Sandler's Happy Madison Productions, he was a stand up comedian in Minneapolis and performed regularly at the Minneapolis ComedySportz. He was recognized by Adam Sandler when Sandler watched him perform in his first Comedy Central Special. Sandler called him up, and invited him out to Los Angeles where the two have been writing movies, tv pilots, stand up comedy, and audio skits since. Swardson performs regularly as a stand-up comedian throughout Los Angeles. He has been featured in two Comedy Central Presents stand-up specials, and has his own one hour special "Seriously, Who Farted" was aired on Comedy Central on October 11th 2009, and then released as a CD/DVD on October 13th 2009. In 2006, Swardson started work on a television pilot called Gay Robot about a gay robot that was built by a university professor. The pilot received acclaim on Youtube, Myspace, and other video websites. Comedy Central decided not to pick up the show. He also began a feud with Hollywood Bitchslap film critics Chris Parry and David Cornelius. The arguments started when Swardson wrote to them complaining of their poor reviews. Parry and Cornelius rebutted, as the debate continued; the feud eventually ceased.[1] As of July 2008, his debut album, Party, has sold more than 100,000 copies.[citation needed] [edit] Filmography
