He attended St. Mark's School in Massachusetts through 2006 and Occidental College. He did not finish his course on Occidental College because of his busy schedule. He is perhaps known for his height, 6'4" tall.^[1] He is the son of actor Craig Braun. He has one younger brother, Christopher, and two older half-brothers, Guillaume Rumiel, who is also an actor, and Tim.

Perhaps he is most famous for his role as Zeke in Minutemen, a Disney Channel Original Movie. He is also known for his role on the ABC Family TV series 10 Things I Hate About You. He also as a role in the film Sky High.

Nicholas stars in an Original Disney Channel movie,'Princess Protection Program. He plays Edwin "Ed" who is always behind the camera video-taping. His love interest in the movie is Selena Gomez's character, Carter.
