NewsX is an English-Language Indian TV news channel, which recently has been rated the most watched news channel by TAM.^[1] The channel was created by the INX Network which is headed by Indrani Mukerjea.^[2][3]

NewsX is India's first HDTV ready channel.

The format adopted by the channel is minimalistic on-screen graphics and activity (a refreshing change from the splurge of animations/graphics which fill more than 50% of the screen on competing channels). The present color scheme includes simple black backgrounds and yellow/white text. News pace is also smooth and regulated. The channel claims to have an international flavor to it. Some of this reflects in the weather reports which are restricted to mostly 4-5 major Indian cities and rest world weather.

On 9th January 2009 it was announced that NewsX had been purchased by Indi Media, an alliance between the NaiDunia promoter and CEO Vinay Chhajlani and former Businessworld editor Jehangir Pochaa. ^[4]
