Click on a county to go to a list of NRHP sites there. This is a list of properties and historic districts in Oregon that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are listings in all 36 of Oregon's 36 counties. The National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) recognizes buildings, structures, objects, sites, and districts of national, state, or local historic significance across the United States.[1] Out of over 80,000 NRHP sites nationwide,[2] Oregon is home to approximately 1,900 NRHP listings according to the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department,[3][4] Over one-fourth of the NRHP listings in the state are found in Multnomah County. In turn, the large majority (over 90%) of Multnomah's NRHP sites are situated within the city of Portland. The locations of National Register properties and districts (at least for all showing latitude and longitude coordinates below), may be seen in a Google map by clicking on "Map of all coordinates".[5] The following are approximate tallies of current listings by county.[6] [edit] Current listings by county -

- ^ The Oregon state list dated January 1, 2009 gives subtotals by county and total of 1,891. The total in this list differs due to newer listings recorded here, and due to specific data discrepancies that have been identified.
- ^ The latitude and longitude information provided in this table was derived originally from the National Register Information System, which has been found to be fairly accurate for about 99% of listings. For about 1% of NRIS original coordinates, experience has shown that one or both coordinates are typos or otherwise extremely far off; some corrections may have been made. A more subtle problem causes many locations to be off by up to 150 yards, depending on location in the country: most NRIS coordinates were derived from tracing out latitude and longitudes off of USGS topographical quadrant maps created under North American Datum of 1927, which differs from the current, highly accurate GPS system used by Google maps. Chicago is about right, but NRIS longitudes in Washington are higher by about 4.5 seconds, and are lower by about 2.0 seconds in Maine. Latitudes differ by about 1.0 second in Florida. Some locations in this table may have been corrected to current GPS standards.
- ^ These counts are based on entries in the National Register Information Database as of April 24, 2008 and new weekly listings posted since then on the National Register of Historic Places web site. There are frequent additions to the listings and occasional delistings and the counts here are approximate and not official. New entries are added to the official Register on a weekly basis. Also, the counts in this table exclude boundary increase and decrease listings which only modify the area covered by an existing property or district, although carrying a separate National Register reference number.
- ^ Within Multnomah County, Portland Skidmore/Old Town Historic District is included in both Northwest and Southwest Portland.
- ^ Barlow Road is a linear district in three counties: Clackamas, Hood River, and Wasco. Columbia River Highway is a linear district in three counties: Hood River, Multnomah, and Wasco. Oregon Pacific Railroad Linear Historic District is a linear district in Jefferson, Linn, and Marion counties. Other sites listed in multiple counties: Jacksonville-to-Fort Klamath Military Wagon Road (Jackson and Klamath), Sumpter Valley Railway Historic District (Baker and Grant).
