National Airways is an airline based in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is a general aviation company offering a range of products and services for aircraft and helicopters, including maintenance, pilot training, aircraft and spares sales and aviation management. NAC Charter is the flight operations and charter division. Its main base is Lanseria Airport, with hubs at Cape Town International Airport, Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, Gaborone and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.[1].

The airline was established in 1946 and started operations on 25 May 1946. On 1 July 1999, Safair, a subsidiary of Imperial Holdings Group, purchased NAC. At the same time Streamline Aviation merged into NAC to form NAC Charter. The airline is owned by Imperial Holdings (68%) and management (38%) and has 320 employees (at March 2007)[1].
